The Chorister is a old-school treble booster designed to enhance mid and upper frequencies, delivering a tone that cuts through in the mix. Unlike a clean boost, this pedal introduces subtle overdrive at lower settings and progressive breakup at higher levels, effectively driving your amplifier's front end. For optimal results, pair it with an already overdriven signal rather than clean tones.
Built with a Germanium transistor, this pedal delivers the dynamic, expressive character and vintage tonal qualities that Germanium components are renowned for. The frequency response characteristics of Germanium provide a distinctly retro sonic signature compared to Silicon alternatives.
Power is supplied exclusively via a standard 9V centre-negative power supply. Battery operation is not supported internally, though an External Battery Kit is available separately from Dragon Pedals if required.
